WHO HIRES FELONS?
Parole Officers, Community Leaders, and Corrections Officers encourage people with convictions to call potential employers and ask if they are “Felony Friendly” finding a job can be a demoralizing process if you are a former drug dealer, bank robber or rapist.

NO ONE WANTS TO HIRE FELONS.
It’s very uncomfortable to receive a call from a person asking if you are “felony friendly” it’s only natural to wonder what crime the person committed. When Parole Officers, Community Leaders, and Corrections Officers send people into society on this (dummies mission), they don’t understand setting people up for instant failure is cruel. No! Employers don’t want to hire felons; they have to hire people with felonies to receive tax credits or need to comply with the regulations of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

STOP! ASKING THIS QUESTION IN 2020.
Here are a few things to do if you are going to look for a job with a felony on your record:

1. Do your research on the position before applying. Do you have the experience? Education? Skills?

2: Select the right employments. You should know what companies and types of companies will immediately disqualify you for your felony record. Small local businesses will be more welcoming than larger ones. Large companies often need to comply with strict processes and procedures for hiring.

3: Freelance employment is excellent.
Freelancing is one good way to earn money, and a criminal background is irrelevant. There are all sorts of jobs, but make sure not to be sucked into any work from home scams that require upfront payments. Freelance employment examples: Inside and Outside Sales, Delivery Courier, Administrative Assistant, Technical Support, Social Media Specialist, and much more. Many employers need to hire people with skills or the ability to complete the daily business task effectively.

4: Add education to your resume. The average adult does not have time for a four-year college program commitment. Consider attending a professional workshop that offers a certificate, weekend training programs, or continuing education college programs.
